Mathematical Models in Population Biology and Epidemiology

Since the beginning, the Hyperstructure Theory and particu- larly the Hypergroup Theory, had applications to several domains. Marty, who introduced hypergroups in 1934, applied them to groups, algebraic functions and rational fractions. The authors discuss topics such as elasticity, thermo-elasticity, aero-elasticity, interactions between fluids and elastic structures, and fluid dynamics and the new challenges that they present.
